Job Title: Network Engineer – VoIP Services Manager

Location: Arlington, VA

Clearance Level: Active DoD – Secret

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining the required service level objectives for VOIP services through active monitoring and technology enhancements. Maintains and troubleshoots an enterprise VOIP solution with a team of Network Engineers.

DUTIES:

  • Uses Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
  • Maintains responsibility for the configuration and deployment of voice gateways such as MGCP gateway for PSTN, SIP gateway or Session Border Controller for DSN
  • Implements DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Maintains plug-in modules such as ZOOM, Cisco Jabber and MS SfB
  • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certifications:

  • Network Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP in Routing and Switching and CCPN Collaboration
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field Background Needed and Years of Experience:
  • Five (5) years of experience with IPv4 Routing (OSPF and BGP highly desired)
  • Five (5) years pf experience with Layer 2 Switching to include Port Security, Spanning Tree, and VLAN
  • Three (3) years of experience with Cisco ASA and ISE to include DoD CAC integration
  • Three (3) years of experience with Network Monitoring Tools (Solarwinds)
  • Three (3) years of experience with Cisco Unified Presence (CUP) and Jabber Extensible Communications Platform (XCP)
  • Five (5) years of experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) and Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
  • Experience with Aritsa switches is highly desired
  • Experience with e911, call recording, call accounting and Defense Switched Network (DSN) is highly desired

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills (Must Have):

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment with a fast-pace ops tempo. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Strength Demands: Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
