Job Purpose: The Microsoft Windows Administrator is located within Fort Meade and is a member of the IT Solution Engineering Team responsible for providing in-depth technical hardware and software support for all desktop and mobile (laptop, tablet, etc.) platforms to support large-scale enterprise networks.

• Serve as an Image Building Engineer responsible for the overall maintenance and support of the Windows desktop/mobile environment.
• Build, install, and maintain enterprise-wide image for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Provide technical “break-fix” operational support to include troubleshooting and diagnosis across all DISANet geographically dispersed sites.
• Report on operational issues and escalate appropriately.
• Document and maintain technical workflow, process, and procedures.
• Lead and support other solution engineering projects.
• Have flexible working hours to be available to support team and operational sites, as needed.

Required:
o Highly experienced in creating and maintaining OS image and application packages.
o Proficient in providing installation/troubleshooting support.
o Advanced technical understanding of hardware, drivers, Microsoft OS, software products and the software re-packaging/sequencing process.
o Experience with AD troubleshooting workstation/user policies.
o Strong System Administration experience, and advanced experience with SCCM.
o Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient project management skills.
o Excellent customer service skills with adaptability for working in team-oriented or independent projects.
o Ability to document in detail technical instructions and procedures.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to organize and facilitate planning and demonstrations.
o Ability to track, manage, and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and escalating issues, as needed.
Preferred:
o SCCM
o MCSE or MCSA certified
o Microsoft Windows
o Solution Engineering skills and experience
o Advanced configuration management skills.
o Support Virtual Desktop Environment (VDI).

Clearance: Must currently hold an active TOP SECRET security clearance.

Education and Experience: This position requires at least (8) eight years’ experience providing relevant IT support with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines. Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment. Superior knowledge in Windows and IT administration and maintenance, advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office suites, as well as basic network and security fundamentals. Experience in call tracking applications and customer service practices. DOD 8570.01-M IAT-II compliance required at start. Experience in or work for the U.S. military is also highly desirable.
